         <description><![CDATA[<p>The East Contra Costa County Habitat Conservancy is now accepting funding proposals for their Science and Research Grant Program. The Conservancy is looking to fund small science and research grants that will contribute to our understanding of special status species and how to better manage their habitat. There is a total of $30,000 in available funds for this two-year cycle.          <description><![CDATA[<p>We are now accepting applications for the <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ucb.ucnature.org/cheatham-field-grant/">Cheatham Student Field Grant</a>. This grant was established to help reduce barriers to student participation and increase access to place-based learning opportunities at the UC Berkeley Natural Reserves.&nbsp;A summary of previous awardees is provided on the website.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Award Amount: </strong>We will award 10-20 grants of up to $2,000 each.&nbsp;<strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>Eligibility:</strong> Awards will be granted to:</p><ul><li><p>UC Berkeley faculty, lecturers, staff, or students who teach field courses/workshops based at one of the Berkeley Natural Reserves.
