The EOP STEM Program was created in order to bridge the needs of historically underrepresented students in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields. By providing one on one support (through the Mentorship Program), leadership opportunities and guidance (through our professional development workshops, community socials, and company visits), we aspire to help the next generation of leaders to accomplish their goals and cultivate a new definition for students in STEM. EOP STEM is open to all EOP verified students who are declared or intending to declare in the STEM fields.

Alianza MX provides funding for UC researchers to present at conferences in Mexico or to host events related to Mexico on a UC campus, with the objective of establishing a foundation for longer-term collaboration and advancing applications for additional funding support (including from extramural sources or calls organized by Alianza MX). Alianza MX is now accepting collaborative research proposals between Principal Investigators (PIs) from the UC system and the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC). Proposals should advance knowledge on critically important issues and establish a foundation for broad collaboration in one of the following areas: a) sustainable food systems and binational food security; b) mental health and social cohesion in contexts of vulnerability; c) energy transition and sustainability of critical materials. Selected projects are eligible for up to USD $25,000 in funding per year over two years from Alianza MX, with matching funds for research at UABC.

Green Corps is looking for college graduates who are ready to take on the biggest environmental challenges of our day.

The planet needs all the help it can get. To win now and build a strong foundation for lasting progress, we need people who know how to organize: to run organizations and campaigns that will inspire the support and action we need to save our environment. The program starts with intensive classroom training. You learn about issues and campaigns, organizing theory and principles, and skills from recruiting volunteers to staging a media event. Then, you move to a more hands-on experience. You make a difference on important campaigns to transition our country to clean energy, protect wildlife, and more.

Green Corps is accepting the top 20 candidates for their 2026-2027 program. Graduates will join their more than 400 alumni who are leading environmental campaigns and organizations across the country. • UC Berkeley faculty, lecturers, staff, or students who teach field courses/workshops based at one of the Berkeley Natural Reserves. All disciplines/departments are welcome. We will prioritize applications from faculty that are looking to develop new, placed-based learning components in their curriculum. Students teaching DeCals are also encouraged to apply. 

• UC Berkeley graduate & undergraduate students who are conducting field-based research or outreach projects at one of the Berkeley Natural Reserves.

Application Timeline: Proposals for the Summer Cycle will be accepted on a rolling basis, until August 20, 2026. Funds must be spent before December 15, 2026. We will have another funding call for Spring Cycle. Apply here.
