Before anyone was even aware, a deadly virus set itself ablaze across the Earth, devastating everything in its path. All of a sudden, millions upon millions of people were faced with having to change their whole lives around and try to become accustomed to this new way of life, that hasn't been seen for over a hundred years. This became especially hard for those in the United States, as people are accustomed to having immense freedom and never having interference from higher government telling them how to live their lives. With a pandemic in the countries midst though, things had to change fast, as this was no longer acceptable, things had to change in order to have safety for all. Socially, those who were affected by these changes the most were those in the age group of young adults. While the virus might not have been the biggest concern for this particular age of people, young adults had their whole essence of what was normal turned upside down on them. From being forced home from colleges, businesses being shut down, not being allowed to see groups or friends or go out on dates, being separated from grandparents, not being able to go out and experience your young 20s like you had always imagined, and the list continues on changes that had to faced. Because of this, many young adults found themselves trapped in their childhood bedrooms with no access to their previous life or the outside world. Because of this, millions of people across the country, decided it was worth getting out and facing the risks of the pandemic to march in Black Lives Matter protests in the streets. Even during this pandemic, people came together for a bigger cause and addressed the racial inequalities still instilled inside the nation and wanted to bring attention to it when the whole world was watching. Going to protests, or seeing information about the protests, one would immediately notice all the signs being held up. These were all handmade signs, like the one pictured above, people crafted in their rooms before heading out as a way to make their voices heard anymore.
