I wonder if their homes were underground or if they used some form of shelter now lost to time.

3. What food might they have eaten?

During their meticulous excavation, they discovered traces of tiny, hand-carved tools made of flint and bone that were probably used for construction and collection. Intricate rock carvings and ceramic fragments also provided hints about the everyday activities of the occupants. The most important breakthrough, however, came from the discovery of worn notebooks that had been stored in a secret stone alcove. These writings, however fragile and fractured, ultimately verified the name of the lost settlement, its identity, and the terrible fate of its inhabitants.
