First opium war start 1839 to 1842, in the end the treaty of Commerce take place, on a British Warship. 

Later on the second Opium war takes place on 1856 to 1860, with the Treaty of Tientsin at the end of the war. Both the two treaties only benefited Britain in benefits, leaving China out.
