https://www.inceptia.org

This organizations mission is to uncomplicate financial aid, provide financial education, provide student outreach programs, and more. This resource is especially good for students who need more knowledge about money borrowing and taking out loans. Many students do not get the education that they need to make loan and borrowing decisions in college and this can create a lot of stress. This website allows students to receive counseling when it comes to their personal decisions with their money and give them the tools they need. Lastly, they have a series of webinars that students can attend. For example, they have a free webinar entitled, "Supporting Students in a Virtual World" and another one called, "Understanding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion".

75 years of reforms have failed to fix our college financial aid system- Washington Post: News Article

https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2021/05/03/seventy-five-years-reforms-have-failed-fix-our-college-financial-aid-system/
This article is about the struggle for college students and their families to afford college. As costs for tuition rise, families are finding it more and more difficult to get financial aid for their child's schooling. Though there was a bill passed for small scholarships, this money amounts to little of the cost that students must pay for tuition as well as materials. This article goes through time and talks about the failed system to support college students financially. This article moves on to talk about the introduction of financial aid officers on campus, yet this still did not work and created more problems. Officers on campus began only favoring the while male students, making it increasingly difficult for females and students of color to receive financial help. To end the article, the author talks of how in America, we still are facing many issues with financially supporting students. Families and students still face a complex process to receive financial aid, and along with this colleges remain underfunded.

A survey was conducted by Hope 4 College that included responses from over 195,000 students. For example, the article mentions that 1 and 3 students lost a job due to the pandemic and about half the respondents to a survey conducted said they had experienced housing insecurity. The article also discusses that because of this, students are unlikely to succeed in school and in life because of these financial insecurities.
