There are some Romanian people who sort tempered and aggressive. Like they swear at each other in traffic jams, they get angry very easily and domestic violence and violence in general is a problem in Romania. However the majority are shy when they meet someone at first at they talk very respectfully and will open up after getting to know you a bit. I am neither in this case, I am neither short tempered nor shy.

                Although there is apportion of bad people, there are also many friendly people with which you can become friends very quickly. For example if you spend a few hours with somebody they can become a very good friend of yours. Here I tend to be very Romanian as well.

                Titles in Romania are usually very important in Romania. For example if you had a teacher in middle school and you address her as Miss. Jessie, you will be addressing her as Miss. Jessie for the rest of your life.

                Spanish people are usually very open when you talk to them and will help you in any way they can. They are not aggressive at all, and will always address you by your first name. They are usually informal and very friendly and they will tell you the story of their lives if you ask them.

                People in Romania usually listen to Romanian music either traditional music (populara) or Romanian music (manele). Traditional music exists in Romania since the 1600s century or even earlier. It has been kept alive for centuries and people still listen to it today and dance on it. This traditional music also has a special costume that people wear it is called the traditional costume. I personally never listen to this kind of music.

 

In Romania a married woman must remain a married woman. If the woman divorces from her husband she is considered a very bad wife and she might have problems finding another husband in the future. This is due to people being religious and marriage being a very important part of religion in Romanian. This is a traditional Romanian marriage. 

       

                   In Romania when you talk to an older person you have to speak with very respectfully. You have to address them with sir or whatever their profession is and you have to speak with them at plural. Somewhat similar to how “usted” is used in Latin America.

                Romanians are expected from their family and from society to have very good manners. To always hold the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right. They have a very specific way in which to hold a fork. Also when you finish your meal you are expected to place your fork next to your knife on your plate.

                Romanian people value family a lot. Their children are taught to respect their parents and help them when they get old and they can’t take care of themselves. The parents usually also take care of their children as best as they can. They invest all their money in their children education and help them as much as they can. I and my family are typical Romanians in this case.

                Families in Romania are patriarchal which means that the father is the head of the family. Well this is not really the case in my family, my parents make the decisions together all the time.

                Most Romanian people are very religious the official religion is Eastern Orthodox. A person is seen badly if he doesn’t believe in Eastern Orthodox especially by older people. The only exception to the rule are the younger people who aren’t as religious as the older ones and don’t care what people believe in. I am not religious at all, I am actually an atheist and I really disdain religion, I find it that it has done more bad than good. Below it is picture of a famous Romanian church Biserica Neagra.
