Review of padlet
Padlet is a space to make notes, post videos, pictures and audio recordings. This information can be shared with others.
It could definitely be used in many ways in teaching health and social care, students could use it to:
Make notes when reading research
Plan assignments
Note ideas they have at any time
Share ideas and information with each other

Office mix add-in for PowerPoint presentations
Provides more interactive presentations and is an add on to existing PowerPoint presentation software. This software could be used. It is something staff and students are familiar with but more interesting. It is more interactive than traditional PowerPoint presentations. I wouldn't use it in the class but for students to read independently as recap of the session and for me to get feedback/ ask them questions. It may be time consuming to read all the student responses unless they are available in a summarised form.

PowToon
This software enables people to create animated videos and presentations. It would have limited use in my specialist area. In terms of teaching there is a lot of relevant animations available on YouTube. There may be some limited use if students wanted to use it, for example creating animation demonstrating bad practice in health and social care delivery.
All of this software is free so there would not be a cost implication. In terms of College Policies and social media, these would all be very safe for learners to use. Students can set privacy settings on Padlet. Lecturers would need to remind the students about referencing and appropriate ways to share ideas to avoid plagiarism.
