I looked at the draft that Katrina had made on we will rock i couldn’t find the sound which ment I wasn’t able to listen to it

Changed the theme and format.

I also started to add in pictures and I made notes on the presentation.

in class i finished making notes and showed jess what i had done so far

And i also asked her how to record my voice in power point

As i haven’t done this before

Final touches

I timed my presentation and realised I had over ran and it was longer than five minutes

So i had to reduce down and ended up taking one slide out.

I also added more pictures to make it more interesting

So all that’s left to do is to record myself speaking over it.

I also done a bit of research to help for example the date that ABBA split up and who wrote the song Waterloo.

I planned to create a podcast on Logic Pro. It had to be about 5 minutes long it had to include intro music and a script based on my live performance presentation for another subject.

Task

I produced a presentation that included intro music a script and Outro music and also I recorded it all on logic pro and I also recorded myself speaking the script

Actual

I started by recording some intro music on Logic Pro Tracks are used where a Steel drum backing track a drum backing track and a baseline.

I played around with all this and it also tried a few other things as well to see what worked and what didn’t work.

Then, after deciding What I was going to use, I put it all together to create my intro music.

Then I Copied it and played around to make some Outro music.

I also wrote a very short script and recorded myself performing it in bite sizes. This was so that I didn’t make many mistakes.

Then I played around with it all to make my final project.

Result

I am quite happy with what I was able to produce for this project.

I still think I am a bit behind on logic pro and I’ve still got quite a lot that I need to learn for it.

Next steps would be to work out how to add in sound effects such as a cheer or a little bit of ABBA music.

And also, I need to time myself so that I know how long it takes and Also, I need to be reminded of how to coordinate my tracks and take out any blank spaces that I have.

I felt like I did very well for my first project

Then I had to create a 5 minute presentation based on that live performance that I chose and what I liked about it and what things to look out for.

I produced a PowerPoint presentation on the band ABBA and the live performance Waterloo and I recorded my voice speaking over the presentation.

I looked at a couple of live performances some by ABBA and some by Other people

The performance that I chose to write about was Waterloo by ABBA when they performed it for the Eurovision song contest for Sweden.

Then I wrote a presentation on PowerPoint and included things Such as health and safety Roles and responsibilities of the band members clothing and key highlights of this performance.

Then I wrote a presentation and put it into a good format and I also added pictures. I tried to include one picture per slide then on the slide I wrote notes Because I was going to record myself speaking the presentation.

So I wrote down exactly what I was going to say for each slide.

Then I recorded Myself speaking the presentation and uploaded it.

I think I need to make my presentation stand out a bit more e.g. add more pictures and colour.

And maybe even write a bit more.

However, I think I am very happy with what I produced and I had fun whilst doing it.

In our bands, we were asked to choose 2 or 3 Songs and given a deadline.

We performed 2 songs - Zombie by the Cranberries and Don’t look back in anger by Oasis.

The songs that we chose as a band after a bit of trying to decide and working out what we could all do and what we would like to do were zombie by cranberry’s and don’t look back in anger by oasis. We also rehearsed a few times.

Then we performed in front of the rest of the class.

As a first performance I think we did very well.

We all had different experience on bands and taste for music.

I think we would have benefited from more time to rehearse and I think it would have been better if we had a list of songs to choose from rather than us trying to decide by ourselves as that was a little bit difficult.

And on the day of the performance we realise that one guitar was louder than the other and at times I found it hard to hear myself playing and I wasn’t sure whether the keyboard was loud enough or not.

But overall, I think we did very well and we listen to each other and looked to understand each others way of doing things.

I produced a spooky song using Logic Pro.

I used a special kind of feature that created a scary kind of sound. Using this feature I was able to play different knots on the keyboard to make it clash.

I was really struggling with Ideas on what to do however I eventually came up with a small idea.

but I axccadently deleted my work by mistake at the end.

and then we practiced saving it on one drive and uploading it to padlet.

I was feeling OK about the end product how ever I would have made sure not to have deleted it.

I plan to do this on logic prow using a classicle piano and a flute.

For this project we are going to be looking in to the righting side of music.

We got in to our new bands.and we’re giving a list of songs to pick from. All the songs were linked to a certain theme. Which was protest.

We then chose a song from the list how ever we were aloud to chose a diffract song so long as it linked in to the theme of protest.

The song we chose was give me shelter by the Rolling Stones.

For this song I am going to be on drums.

Is this project We are concentrating on the rating side of things, e.g. songwriting and composition.

We started by getting into our bands and then we were Given a list of songs to choose from. All these Songs were linked to a theme.

This theme was protest, which is the theme we are going to be playing in our bands.

1 a piano keyboard instrument

2 some form of percussion such as drum machines.

3 a Flute.

I produced a very short relaxation tune. the reason I chose this theme was because when I listened to the flute it made me feel relaxed and made me think of relaxing music.

so I decided to create a relaxing piece. I recorded the tune using a flute as the main instrument. And then I recorded some chords on the piano. And percussion that I used was two beats to make a ticking talking sound like a clock.

how ever I still wasn't sure of a name so I just called it relaxation.

I think it went very well how ever I think there was definitely room for improvement. I think I could have made the song a little bit longer and make the tune more in time.

I just picked any theem to do with protest and went for theme of wore.

As showed on the picture I wrote some words down then created a structure using the guyed that was given in class.

Then we got some chords together using guitars and some of us on keyboards.

Then we performed them in front of the class at the end.

good instruments used are drums and jingle bells and church bells.

to make the mood and atmosphere Christmassy. it should include fast music to make it sound up beat.

examples of this would be songs like.

merry Christmas every one by Shakin Stevens.

so here it is merry Christmas by Spade.

Fairly tail of New York by The pogs and christy Macula.

All I want for Christmas by Mariah Carey.

And there are many more that are like this.

We managed to do this all in one sitting.

I created a short Christmas song.

I did this on Logic Pro and the song layout started with a short introduction then it led in to the mane tune. Then I tried to create an outro how ever I didn’t quiche get that far.

When I was doing the song it felt like I was struggling and keyed on having technical issues and things kept on going wrong espeshily towards the dead line.

Next time I will improve this by making sure to not take to long to make decisions on things and not to play around to long.

and Dee was going to sing and play her ukulele.

we worked on this for a couple of weeks how ever we struggled to finish this project.

because it was very stress full.

It has been very difficult to get decide what we were going to do.

Ideas included

1 righting our own song how ever there was to many differences of opinion.

2 do a cover. We decided to go with the song Radio head by Creep.

How are we going to make it our own.

Needs to show of our skills.

It was decided we would just do our own projects for this bit.

Teenage dirtbag.

We are making good progress however still need to keep practicing and making some decisions on set lists and more songs.

Dee and I were in a group together with 1 other person (who dropped) and we decided to do a cover together of Creep by Radiohead. Dee was on vocals and I was on keyboard.

Dee had already got someone to compose a piano track for her to sing along to and we decided to stick with that, however, I changed it a little bit by playing chords because Dee did not like the idea of the main tune and is not into Jazzy stuff.

The performance went very well. The timing went well but we did start off a bit fast. We were both very focused and listened to each other and kept in time with each other. We were able to keep in time with one another and Dee was tapping her leg to create a bit of a metronome and my hands were beating during gaps.

The song structure worked well. It was binary with a verse and chorus. The ending was a final chord and Dee sang the last note - including the B word which was part of the lyrics.

Dee and I worked very well together and we practiced with a metronome but we got rid of that for the final performance. We communicated well together and listened to one another to work out the best way of performing it.

Things I would have done differently could have been listening more to Dee and understand what she wanted a bit more.

We began to write our own song and I began to write a chord progression, Dee began to learn the chords on the Ukelele and Lars wrote some vocals. However, Lars dropped out and we were then really struggling to cope with the piece and so instead we did a cover of Creep by Radiohead.

We recorded the song with me playing keys and Dee on vocals then we added our own instruments to it such as synthesisers, drum beats and extra melodies. We then performed it live in Jesses class on Tuesday 10th March.

Steps for next time would be to spend a little bit more time on Logic Pro and add more things to it such as fade in / fade out and make is sound more synthesised. In hindsight perhaps we should have stuck to the original song and not be put off and carried on with our original because we could have had more fun with it if we had put our minds to it.
