Specific: My goal this term was two fold, get at least an A as my final mark, and master the lessons in preparation for A-SHAPE in January.

Measurable: My goal to get an A is quite easy to measure, as I just need to calculate my class standing every so often using my scores in each test, and their respective weights. Measuring how well I mastered the lessons for A-SHAPE is a tad harder, but I believe I can do so by gauging how well I do in reviewers.

Attainable: Both goals are very much attainable, as both are limited to the 2nd Term Grading Period. Having good study habits and a drive to study should also guarantee my success.

Relevant: Both goals are very much relevant to me as a student, as they both corelate to if I could get into my preferred Senior Highschool, Ateneo Senior Highschool Student.

Timed - Bound: These goals are very much achievable within a single term time frame, since grades come out at the end of the term, and A - SHAPE happens during this term.

All in all I think I achieved one goal, and kind of failed with the other. Lets start with what I achieved, that being getting at least an A this term. According to my calculations, my class standing at the moment is 95%, which is above the 92% threshold for an A. There's still the exam to be concerned about of course, so I'll do my best to retain my current standing. Now, on to what I failed, that being A - SHAPE preparation. Unfortunately, I don't think I did very well in the math portion of the A - SHAPE, so I failed to achieve my 2nd goal of mastering the lessons this term to prepare. Hopefully I did well enough that I get admitted, but I don't think I secured a spot in the STEM strand.

By far the most challenging task for me this term was the long test on Polynomial Functions. Personally speaking, Polynomial Functions was a very difficult topic due to main reasons, that being synthetic division, and the amount of theorems to memorize. Firstly is synthetic division, the issue here is that its very time consuming, which is a bad thing in the context of a timed long test or exam. Next were all the theorems memorize, (which were like 7? I'm sorry Ms. Bucsit I didn't take to heart the specifics) which had many rules to memorize. Add on top of this a long test that takes up a good portion of your grade, then yeah safe to say it was extremely difficult and stressful for me, especially considering that my quizzes had generally low scores so I had to pull up my grade with this.

Ok so this might sound extremely stupid, which it is because I am stupid, but my biggest misconception was confusing p and q in the formula for the zeroes of a polynomial function. For some reason, I kept repeatedly switching them up, which often times would actually get the correct zeroes, but would still count as a mistake. This unfortunately caused me a minus point in my long test, which I'm still quite sad about. So what you're actually supposed to do is get the factors of a0 and an, then divide those factors with a0 being at the top, then you'd used synthetic division to verify each zero.

I think overall my best work was Long Test 2, in which I got a perfect score. My reasoning for such is that Sequence and Series was in my opinion, the second most difficult topic this term. If I got a perfect score in Long Test 1, then I'd use that, but unfortunately I got a pretty low score for my standards.

To my knowledge there weren't any collaborative projects this term, but I guess if I could think of anything that I did collaboratively was answer a lot of homeworks together to try to figure out the right answer. I distinctly remember debating whether or not Timmy's claim that he is higher than 80% of all the other students, in which it turns out I was right since he was only higher than 60% of students.
