This was made by smashing a rock on another rock until it formed a sharp edge. Upon close inspection you can see that it was made with very precise hits, meaning that it was made pretty uniformly. It was definitely not made by nature on accident.
It could be used to chop branches, cut meat, or smash bones for bone marrow. Hand Axes like this have been found all across the globe from Africa to all the way to Korea. 
All hand axes were made from stone are were generally hand held during the time of their use. Many are also in the same shape as the image above which may have been inspired by a human hand
Some of the tasks it might have been used for are skinning and cutting animal flesh or wood working.

The sculpture was found in two pieces and it wasn't until the 20th century that it was discovered that the two pieces fit together and the sculpture was actually broken. 
It appears to be carved from the tusk of a mammoth. "Each of the reindeer has been marked with a burin to show different colouring and texture in the deer's coat. Oddly there are ten deeper cuts on each side of the back of the leading female reindeer." They are the first signs we can find of activity in North America. 
Spear points like this would have been used on spears and not hand held like the stone tools from before. Clovis spear heads were used in hunting and were sharp enough to kill a mammoth. 
Speaking of mammoths, the time in which the Clovis Spear Point's were used, was also around the extinction of mammoths, giant sloths, camels, and giant bison in North America. Papua New Guinea was one of seven locations to independently start farming again after the ice age. 
This item was likely used to mash and ground up vegetables and roots like taro. This was likely the first depiction of a couple doing it. 
The people who made this were farmers, and were selectively breeding sheep and goats. They would have had to know how reproduction works in very basic ways and the male and female roles which play a role in breeding. This clay model was found in an ancient Egyptian tomb. According to Egyptian mythology this would have been put in a tomb to provide it's owner with cattle in the afterlife.
Cattle were first domesticated in North Africa in 8000 BC. The climate got dryer after the ice age and people were restricted to small towns by water like the Nile River. Mayan mythology says that the god is decapitated at harvest time and then is reborn at the beginning of the next farming season.

Pottery was invented in Japan, Korea, and China during the last ice age. The Jomon pot in particular was found in Japan. 
The invention of the pot was a huge technological advancement. It meant that people could boil food and make it edible. This was especially important during the winter. 
Hunter gatherers (like the Jomon people) were thought to have not been able to carry pots because of their nomadic lifestyle. But the Jomon people brought around their pots and had a very enriched diet consisting of about 65 animal species. The hieroglyphics on the side are talking about one of King Den's military conquests in Sinai, eastern Egypt. 
This brings up the topic of travel and settling. We have towns and cities now, and it roots back to these ancient Egyptian cities.
