-Scribing - replaces a large task load and cognitive load...=wellness for providers.
-Carbon footprint is an issue
-Confidentiality is a concern
-Counter-intuitively, may allow providers to have more natural interaction with patients
-Changing culture around privacy and confidentiality is a challenge
-Lasting tool? yes BUT need to develop curricula to explain what AI is and how it is used. How do we get expertise integrated, and where? UME? college?
-Metrics might include -demonstrating reduced time allocated to digital scut work and patient satisfaction with their interactions
-Challenges: more questions than answers! What instruction do ZSOM students get? the Faculty?
-Requires buy-in from many stakeholders, not least the EMR companies

Accuracy: are wearables worsening the load on the system?
Spurious results (afib, etc) in normal patients
Useful for building a picture of a patient's life outside the one or two visits per year
Already used by pts and doctors; definitely here to stay; a lasting tool
Med students should learn about application of wearables but how feasible is it to incorporate into curriculum? Not enough content to make it worth including.

$$$ high cost is an obstacle to equity
