    1. When rounding to nearest ten you should look at the ones digit. If the ones digit is five or greater you should round up. If the ones digit is four or less you should round down. If your trying to round to the nearest hundred you should look at the tens digit. If the tens digit if 5 or greater you should round up. If the tens digit is four or less you should round down.
