Because I am a pukana, I feel that being a kumu is my kuleana and how I show up for my lāhui. Being a pukana influences my purpose of being a kumu because that's how I was raised. I do this NO KA LĀHUI! I do this so my haumāna have the same opportunities I did as a kaiapuni student and we can share those experiences together to raise the best Hawaiians we can to make a better Hawaiʻi for all of us and the generations to come.
