My dilemma - should I jump or not ?

The dilemma i had was at summer. me and my friends were standing on a cliff and all of my friends jumped in the water. I didn't want to jump and wanted to stay safe but all my friends were shouting at me and encouriging me to jump. my dilemma was should i submit to social pressure and jump , or stay true to my principles of being safe and stay on the cliff. And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth"

Cons :
Dangerous - I could have landed on my back or stomach and risk a serious injury.
Pros : 
Fun - enjoying the summer with my friends , doing an extreme sport causes adrenelin to rush which is fun . 
Blending in - if i jumped i would have been apart of the group and have been treated the same as everyone else.

I chose not to jump because if I did I would have probably landed on my back not being able to breathe and in major pain.

i chose not to jump thus i lived and im able to walk and breath . My friends understood my desicion and respected my fear of jumping.

Looking back on my desicion I think I made the right choice . One of my friends that jumped did hurt himself. Im glad that it wasn't me. I think I wont comeback to that cliff and I will stay away from cliff jumping in the near future.
