Listening carefully to students, faculty, staff, and administrators is very important. Ask well-designed questions to try to get the type of information that you need from each person. Do not take offense if they say something that you don't like or agree with. This is their perspective/experience. If you listen carefully, you may find out something that you can use to make a meaningful difference for them or for others.

we need more help/training/something to be able to support our partners when they hit resistance. We need to support them, but also be able to push in the right ways (perhaps with their colleagues)

The Heart of the Work: Who Will Carry the Load?

How much of a burden will this project place on individuals or groups as we move forward (with or without funding)? I worry that, as is often the case, the heart and soul of DEI-focused projects will fall on the shoulders of just one or a few committed individuals.
