https://www.youtube.com/

YouTube might be the technological resource that I am most excited about implementing in my classroom. Similar to the other resources I chose, YouTube is also a resource with a wide variety of capabilities and beneficial uses. Whether it is to listen to audiobooks, to watching how to videos and TedTalk videos, to researching various topics from various sources, YouTube is a great technological resource to use. In addition to the educational component provided by YouTube, I also find this resource very helpful with the entertaining aspect provided that I will use for my students with their earned breaks as well as a calming tool for my students in the event that they become triggered or overwhelmed and need something to help relax themselves. YouTube is also a great tool when researching topics because most videos provide additional content in the description of the video with relative links as well.

ASSESSMENT TOOL: Google Forms

https://www.google.com/forms/about/

Google Forms is the application that I chose to use for assessments and data collection. Google forms is a great application that is not only easy to use, but also able to be customized, including graphing images, questions, responses and the specific wording for questions and answers. This is a huge benefit for my students with special needs in order to provide the appropriate wording according to their reading and comprehension levels. Google Forms is also a great assessment tool because it allows me to evaluate the progress that a student is making and any specific areas of improvement that my students may need.

https://www.blooket.com/

Blooket is an amazing technological resource that I will use in my classroom because of its wide capabilities and the student interest that I believe it will establish and maintain. I really enjoy how easy it is to sign up and learn to use, this is very important for my students and I when I implement this in the classroom and it will allow for a smooth transition into this activity as well as a smooth lesson when we use Blooket. I also like how I can customize my own set of questions, or use a set of questions already created among the wide variety of subjects provided on Blooket. With the game and competitive component of this resource, I know my students will have a great time using as a class for any lesson while providing formative assessments. Blooket is also an awesome resource because it allows me to set the format that I desire with homework, with options to either use a time format or money accrual format. This is something that I will utilize for my students that experience anxiety when it comes to timing and would enjoy the gaming feel that accruing money can provide. Additionally, Blooket has collaboration abilities between different applications like Quizlet and Kahoot.

https://www.peardeck.com/

Pear Deck is one of the technology resources that I chose to utilize in my classroom because of the versatility and the interaction it provides between teachers and students. Pear Deck is an awesome resource because we can customize the different slides from the format, to the content, to linking articles and/or videos. These are just some of the capabilities of Pear Deck that makes it a resource that I will use in the classroom along with the ability for students to interact with the lesson, providing student engagement opportunities. With the student engagement, I really like the fact that student responses do not show up with student names. This is a positive for me because it allows my students to avoid any fears or anxiety with taking chances and responding and possibly having the wrong answer.

https://everydayspeech.com/

Everyday Speech is an awesome technological resource that I will utilize in my classroom. Everyday Speech is a great resource with the wide variety of topics provided that I can use for different lessons with my students. I really appreciate the variety of instruction provided with Everyday Speech including text, videos and pictures. This is also a resource with different levels that I can use according to the ability of my students. The lessons on Everyday Speech are great because they are not long and drawn out, but they are fairly quick that I can replay videos and spend more time with text and pictures if my students need. Everyday Speech is a technological resource that I will use to support the learning development of my students in the areas of reading, comprehension and also speech. One of the forms of communication that stood out to me with the instruction provided, was understanding nonverbal communication with body language and facial expressions. This alone is a major area of focus that my students will benefit greatly from.
