So I just pulled out one article that I remember. It is about the effects of competition in digital game‑based learning. The most interesting result is that competition in DGBL was effective for math, science and language, but not for social science and other subjects. As a teacher, I usually thought that game-based learning is usually beneficial for any kinds of classes and subjects.
