Hello Mr Amirul, how are you? Hope you're healthy and strong.Thank you for baring with us ,4 Character since Sec 1, you've seen us grow into a young adults that can face challenges with an optimistic mindset. Though 2020 was a tough year for us to adapt to the new normal and also n's, you were there supporting us. Bringing us to achieve our dreams, making us a reliable young adults and giving a chance to prove to others that NT student also have a future. Mr Amirul you helped us a lot since young. So we are really thankful. HEY MS ELICIA YEO, I am in Business Service now. I finally understand why we should learn how to write an email. With your teaching skills, and my willingness to learn ,it gave me a huge advantage during my current modules. Anyway enough about me. Ms Yeo you were a very kindhearted and forgiving teacher. Though 4CHR must have given you a rise in your blood pressure, i bet you still miss us all, like how we miss you too. HEY MR ALAWDIN, Urmm to be honest i miss you entering the class with the " keep quiet everyone" , even though our class was already quiet. It was very entertaining and a trait to make us remember you HAHAHAH. Though you were with us only for a year if not wrong, we still remember and miss you, You've taught us social studies and also were our co form teacher. Hello teachers! Happy teachers day!! You know... in secondary school, i felt that sec sch teachers were just smarter people who give younger people homework. As i graduate and enter poly I realised that teachers are more than that. Teachers are our guiding light. Just like a beacon in the dark. Teachers are life coaches who instills moral values in students- even the most mischievous ones!

Teachers are the people who never give up on any of their students- no matter how many times we dont do their homework or cause a nuisance to other students- they NEVER turn their back on us!

We remember when you finally crack a smile 😁 after keeping a poker face for few months ever since you become one of our form teachers. Your countless reminder and advice we still remember. Don't worried cher , we are going to be R E S P O N S I B L E A D U L T S! Cher, try not to leave the class early😂

To Ms Yeo, the lovely❤️ and cheerful teacher who will chase students for homework. You even teached English even though some of us is not in your class. Your advice to give our very best for our national exams and push through even though it was a tough year for us. You will asked us if we are doing fine and we appreciate your effort in ensuring our well being. Thank you for being there with us 💕

To Mr Amirul, you know us since we were sec 1 since you teached us math. You with your colourful outfits everyday especially your socks 🌈✨ You always see our face 24/5 for 4 years straight and probably annoyed seeing our faces everyday 😂 We definitely have a rollercoaster ride. You will constantly nagged at us for not doing our work or when we make a huge chaos in the class.

Hi Ms Lynn See, do you remember me? How have things been for you? I hope all is well for you and the rest of you guys, 4 Respect 2015!

Thank you for being a great teacher, for helping us through the toughest year of our Secondary education, and for supporting me through one of the greatest crisis of my life, I truly appreciate it!

I still remember the days before O'Levels, where you would take out time to give us and review extra Social Studies Questions with us, and we would talk BS with you. Those were some of the most enjoyable times in my life. I also remember the panic when I texted you right after the O'Levels Paper to confirm if my answer was correct, and you responded almost immediately. (TBH I have no idea how I got A1 for Combined Humans, I literally studied only 1 topic for SS, and it was a wrong topic)

Even after graduation, there would still be several occasions where you would invite us over to your place for informal gatherings. I do miss those times, and I hope our class can gather some time after this damned COVID-19 thingy. (Your place is ulu HAHAHAHA)

Also I never understood 1 thing. Why would you seat me beside Zach when you planned our Sec 4 class arrangement? Like, it would be expected that we would talk a lot correct? HAHAHAHAHA.

Thank you for always being the first thing we see other than our large pile of homework on our desks and thank you for always requesting our class to put away all of our homework during the assembly period to give some time for relaxation, thanks for being our therapist in a very unusual way as both understand the culture of our class, ye mainly competitive.

To my chemistry teacher Mr Lee,
You’ve taught me chemistry for 2 years and 8 months, thanks for always being very cheerful with us and showing us a lot of videos, the explosion is amazing, thanks for always trying your best to humour us and lighten the mood in our class, although technology seems to hate you in some ways, thanks for trying out new stuff like Time to Climb on Nearpod and playing Kahoot! for almost every singles topic. You’ve taught me bio for one year and 8 months, I found you
terrifying last year but changed my view this year and you seem a lot more cheerful and fun, and you’re the most technological teacher I’ve ever met 👍, thanks for showing me the heart dissection video when I couldn’t access the one in google classroom and thanks for looking the set of notes from 2020. Thanks for teaching me math, although my A math results are very consistent at 10 , you’re a very fast teacher and likes to go for speed, thanks for making the class laugh for almost every five minutes because of your contradictions.

Happy Teacher’s Day to all EVG teachers! I would like to express my gratitude to two important teachers that have greatly shaped the person I am today.

First is Ms Loke, who was my Chemistry teacher from Sec 2-4. I still remember failing my first Chemistry test back then. Fast forward to today, I graduated from SP with an Applied Chemistry Diploma and I am planning to pursue a Chemistry Degree in NUS. I probably owe all this to Ms Loke. I never really told her but she was one of my biggest inspirations and reasons on why I continued studying chemistry in poly. She taught the subject in such an intriguing yet easy to understand manner that it just made me look forward to her lessons back then. Despite her busy schedule, she would always find pockets of time after school for consultations for my class. She never gave up on us and always put in her best effort to help us understand concepts and mark our countless practice papers. She is still the best chemistry teacher I had until now. Thank you Ms Loke for being such an inspiration and I hope I can visit you soon!!

Second is Ms Joanna Lee, my NPCC teacher. I wasn’t the best person back then but I owe most of my personal growth thanks to NPCC and her. Ms Lee has always been a great advisor to her cadets and was the right balance of being serious and being funny and chill. She has nurtured the growth of various batches of students/cadets in her years in EVG and I was one of them who was greatly inspired. I still heed to some of her advice until today, especially when it comes to leading others. Thank you Ms Lee for all your guidance back then. I know you have been wanting to POP from NPCC too since we POPed back in 2017 but I hope you will continue to nurture more cadets and shape them into great young adults! See you soon!!

To Mdm Low and Ms Pradeepa, thank you for showering us with care and having patience with us. You are constantly being there, always ready to help us in any way. I am grateful for your guidance to the class. You have taught us ways to improve ourselves, making us into a better person, and also trying to make the class more bonded.

Just a short shout-out to Mr Anan. Thanks for treating us the way you did, maturely? Despite being critical of us and chiding us(especially when you tell us we have a lot of learning and growth ahead...) you treated us like young adults. Conversations with you were hilarious and yet we learnt so much from you. Teaching our batch, and based on our conversations with you after graduation, the batches after as well, definitely isn't an easy feat. But thank you for the patience, understanding and genuine care. Many of us have definitely grown a lot from our secondary school experience.

Looking back, we miss the laughs, the tears, the struggles (which you always reminded us was not even a struggle and that the true struggles and battles await us after EVG...oh how true your words were...)

Happy Teachers' Day :) We should all catch up soon.....
