         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;To start with, I will talk about my personal leadership vision.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Before taking IHMN354, my understanding of leadership is relatively swallow.&nbsp; But after having my learning experience in IHMN 354, I had a much better understanding of leadership theory and values.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;  Personally, my leadership vision is to build healthy relationship with the followers and be collaborative&nbsp; with them.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>     My first leadership goal is to learn an important skill as a successful leader, which is to care for my followers and gain their respect.<br>     I think caring for the followers is an essential skill for respectful leaders because I support the Behavior approach demonstrate by Daft.                                                 According to Daft, leadership can be reflected in behavior and not just your leadership qualities (2015, p.45). I believe that showing care for my subordinates can help support my leadership development. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>     My second leadership goal is to learn how to solve conflicts/issues with my followers using the most effective leadership approach. <br>     I think this is an practical leadership skill for me to learn. In real life, leaders often come across with various issues and conflicts with the people that they are leading. It's usually difficult for leaders to deal with such situations as they need to consider many factors related with the issue and choose the right approach to solve the problem.<br>     Therefore, I think it's essential for me to achieve this goal in order to assist my leadership journey in the future.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Since my goal is to learn how to influence my follower by caring behaviors and build a healthy relationship with them, I will be focus on the consideration structure of the Behavior approach (Daft, 2015, p 46)<br>According to the studies, in order to be considerate as a leader, I will have to care about my followers, respect their ideas, encourage them to create mutual trust and be a great listener.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;My first action would be to find out what I am lacking as a leader for my subordinates. I will talk to them in person and humbly ask for feedback on my behavior approach.&nbsp;<br>After retrieving the results from my followers, I will work on the weak points accordingly. For instance, if my followers says that I don't communicate with them enough and I am not a good listener, I will make sure to remind myself in the workplace to be a good communicator for my followers.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;I will actively go to them and start conversation and build relationship with them.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Action Plan for Goal II</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Solving conflict as a leader is never an easy skill to learn. Having conflicts within your followers can be harmful for the organization's growth and productivity.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;My first step would be to create a culture where everyone's personality, personal values are well-respected. As far as I am concerned, disagreement and disrespectful opinions are the root to conflicts within followers. Therefore, building a respectful company culture can help prevent the conflicts from occurring.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;My next action is learn how to handle the conflict professionally. As we all know, a common mistake made by leaders is to apply personal emotion when resolving a conflict. To be more professional when resolving conflicts, I will have to learn how to be fair and objective when resolving conflicts. Having worked with many successful leaders in my career, I will interview some role-model leaders about their suggestion for me when resolving conflicts within the team.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Lastly, to test my skill of resolving conflicts within the team, I will seize the opportunity when there's conflicts within my team and try to resolve it with my professional leadership skills.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
