Each set of activities has been developed to help you create opportunities for parent literacy engagement beyond the classroom walls. These activities are thought to support early literacy development at home. Each set is based on content from the All Ohio Literacy Early Childhood Birth to Five Learning Modules. 

When requesting to join, you will be asked a few questions. You will need to answer these questions before being clicked through. Once you are clicked through, be sure to read "Pursuing the Jon Peterson Scholarship as Ohio Homeschoolers - a Primer." Also, WELCOME TO OH JPS!

OHIO Homeschooling & the Jon Peterson Scholarship group is a statewide support group for those choosing to homeschool AND utilize the Jon Peterson Scholarship. This will be a place of accurate information regarding navigating the Jon Peterson scholarship and homeschooling (meaning you've submitted your NOI to the district of residence) and are legally homeschooling in Ohio.

Accepted members of this group are Ohio homeschooling parents who are navigating the JP, those who are sincerely interested in navigating the JP Scholarship, and Jon Peterson Providers, as well. There is a similar scholarship available to children with autism, but only the JP scholarship will be our focus.

This is the first FB group ever created to provide accurate information in terms of Jon Peterson and/or Autism scholarship and help you to navigate through the approval process, required documentation, providers, school issues, etc. across the state of Ohio.

Our group was created by parents who are determined to provide support to all families in Ohio (who are interested in the scholarships) as a financial support for services for their children with disabilities.

We welcome parents who homeschool under Ohio 03, the ones who homeschool under Ohio 08 and also who send their children to private schools. Also parents who currently have their children in public schools but are considering any of the alternative schooling options in Ohio.

Providers are welcome to share their experiences and promote their services only when someone is looking for such services."
