1930-1933 was a tough time for Germany. There was an economic depression, and it hit the country so hard. After Germany's defeat in WWI, Germans were not feeling too great about themselves, and Germany was a country about pride. Their pride had just been taken away and they felt worse than ever before. That's where Adolf Hitler comes in. Hitler promised to give Germany back its pride and power, and many citizens truly took it to heart. He created pro-Nazi propaganda and, soon enough, Hitler was elected Chancellor of Germany. The problem was that so many people decided to just blindly follow Hitler, and it eventually led them to their demise.

This is a poster that was published in 1947 showing how awful America would be under communism; fire, war, people being hurt and robbed of their free will, etc. America was all about showing how they were more prosperous and how capitalism was better due to its ability for a person to do what they want to do. This is a contrast from what the Russians would do - they would show Russians being prosperous as well, but because they're united as one, and not divided. America was about individualism and Russia was about being united as one.
