In the beginning of the novel, Mami could be described as quiet
Mami was Quiet because she did not talk a lot and did not get involved with stuff like conversations.
Towards the end of the novel, Mami could be described as Chatty
Mami was chatty because she got involved and got involved in more things like Voting for Ana Rosa To write story for The Sea Monster.

In the beginning of the novel mami didn't talk much and she didn't agree with much things. Mami was not the same as she was in the end. Like she didnt allow Ana Rosa to write because she said that every writer she knew had died or something really bad had happened to them. She rarely told papi anything about she rum drinking she just let him be cause either way he would've never listened to her anyway. And then one day she sat on the porch and then one day she did. Towards the end of the novel. In the text it states one day she allowed Ana Rosa to write for everyone about this "monster" in the sea that everyone saw. After that she became more talktalk instead of quiet. Mami experiance this change because she wanted to be more supported?

Mami was not supporting Ana Rosa's writing because she was worried she will end up dead because they were under a dictatorship and one of the rules is to not make books, newspaper, poems, or anything like that only the president can make stories or poems. I know this because in the book when Mami found out Ana Rosa was making poems, stories, and other related stuff she got sad and mad. towards the end of the novel, Mami could be described as supportive and still firm.
