The Purpose of questioning is to develop thinking through open ended questions and being based on the standards of work required.
The strengths of questioning is that it provides open ended questions to provoke thinking and it fair and standardised.
The are current and sufficient as you can ask lots of questions and it is happening at the moment of the topic.
However i needs to be done at specific times and may need to be recorded.
It is also not reliable and it is invalid as in many cases it is harder to track if the students understand the topic after the questions and record there progress
