I enjoyed the fantasy worlds that these books provided and they brought me to another place. I always had a very lively imagination and this series fueled that more. It was also the first book that I watched the movies right after finishing the series and it was exactly as I had pictured it all when reading it. This is where I rekindled my love for reading by discovering my favorite author as of right now. Beach Read by Emily Henry showed me that reading can still be fun. The characters were well rounded, all with a unique personality of their own. I enjoyed the Rom Com feel and to this day I continue to read her books. Verity introduced me to my love of a thriller. While I know I have always loved horror movies this was the first book that actually kept me on my toes. I had never had an other pull me in with anticipation and then genuinely create such a creepy environment where I am almost scared to continue.
