In addition, she is known as the first female to fly in combat and command a fighter squadron. She has become a member of the House of Representatives since 2014 and a candidate for the 2018 Arizona Senate Election.

Growing up, Kyrsten experienced many hardships and obstacles in her life. However, she remained to stay persistent and determined in order to make her way into Brigham Young University and Arizona State University. Kyrsten would eventually become part of the Arizona Legislature, later passing a law which would benefit veterans with in-state tuition at public universities. In addition, she has also made efforts on the issue of sex trafficking and her support for children’s health care and education.
