The most significant cause of the Revolutionary War was that Britain let a group of colonies become too accustomed to what was essentially pure free reign, with self government such as the House of Burgesses. So when Britain's Salutary Neglect of the colonies ended and they tried to control them by slowly removing their rights, the colonists rebelled, arguing that they should be able to have their own assembly and rights, as they had done for so long, especially since many colonists were 2nd or 3rd generation Europeans that knew no other way of life. The colonists originally only wanted their freedoms back, as characterized by how the First Continental Congress only sent a plea to the British Crown in the form of the Suffolk Resolves, as opposed to a year later when the colonists signed the Declaration of Independence, as Britain just plainly ignored the colonists and sent more troops to suppress the Rebellion, stretching tensions farther and farther causing the spark for the Revolutionary war.

the most significant cause of the Revolutionary War was that Britain could not efficiently run the colonies from such a far distance. An example of this is Thomas Paines pamphlet "common sense", in this pamphlet he states that it is preposterous for a small island nation such as Britain to control such a large amount of land at such a large distance away. It is very important to not that it took about a 6 month trip by boat to get to the colonies. Which caused the colonies to feel essentially free because no laws told them otherwise, so when King George III put in new acts and laws without the colonies permission they revolted. the colonies did this because they were used to the old ways of "pure freedom".

The most significant cause of the Revolutionary war was Britain's inability to properly rule the colonies from the start. As seen in the early years of colonization, Britain gave the colonists salutary neglect giving them control over most aspects of colonial life. However, after the French and Indian war, Britain started to more finely and strongly control the colonies through acts like the Intolerable Acts. Once the colonists started to lose their freedoms, they started to rebel and revolt against Britain. The reason as to why the colonists began to revolt after the end of salutary neglect is because before no one could tell the colonists what to do except for the colonists them self's and now rich aristocrats from the British Parliament who not only know nothing of life in the colonies buy also lived a great distance away began to facilitate their daily lives.

The colonist became very angry and upset because they had never been controlled before and were doing pretty good without the king's control. These acts within the Proclamation are what essentially drove the colonist into rebellion , that later turned to war.

This is significant because of the actions they took to to respond to Britain's threats to their liberties and rights. Because the king enforced the Intolerable Acts on the colonists, The First Continental Congress endorsed the Suffolk Resolves stating a repeal of the Intolerable Acts. The Congress also Passed the Declaration and Resolves.

The most significant cause of the Revolutionary war were the series of acts, known as the Intolerable Acts, passed by parliament to the American colonies during and after the Seven Years war. These acts were seen as a threat to liberty in the eyes of the colonists. In a significant result of the acts, the colonies led the First Continental Congress, a convention created to discuss the interpreted threats of liberty from Britain. The King saw this convention as an act of rebellion, resulting in more British troops in the colonies and the first battles of the war.

This is significant because as soon as the colonists began losing their rights to expand westward and prohibition of trade they began to rebel and disagree with the King. The implementation of the Intolerable Acts by the British pushed the colonists to fight back for their independence by creating the Continental Congress and the Declaration of Independence.

The British did not want colonist to move towards the west of the Appalachian Mountains because all the land over there belonged to the French. This would would mean that the British would not have control over them if they left. Quartering Act violated their privacy laws by letting soldiers stay in their homes and have to provide food for them this made the colonist made and rebel against British authority.

The most significant cause of the Revolutionary War was the rejection of the "Olive Branch Petition" sent to King George 3. This was the key cause of the war because it labeled the all of the American colonies in a state of rebellion against the crown, granting British military action on American soil. This then enraged the colonists who then started to form a militia, with George Washington as Commander in Chief, to defend their land.

The most significant cause of the Revolutionary War was Britain not giving enough rights to the Colonies and controlling them with taxation, like the Townshend Act and the Coercive Acts. During the Stamp Act, the Parliament put revenue on most paper in the colonies. The colonies were discontent due to the lack of representation, so they created the Stamp Act Congress. Then The Parliament enacted new duties to be collected on colonial imports on tea, glass and paper. This shows that the British government has the right to tax and control the colonies.

This convention that gathered delegates from each of the colonies became a turning point for the revolution as it had angered the British/Parliament who wanted to control the colonies. As a result of the topics discussed at the Convention, King George III of Britain had angrily denied the plea's of the congress and attempted to establish further control over the colonies.

The most significant cause of the Revolutionary war was Britain's inability in recognize the colonies as an essential place, for its economy to grow through the tobacco trade. For example, throughout this time, the British focused more on controlling the colonies and seeing them as children, than its economic necessity in the very popular tobacco market in Europe. This can be seen through the growing tobacco market in Europe and the increase in the American economy because of this trade. In the end, stay in control of the colonies and just having better trade agreements would've allowed for the British economy to grow through the tobacco trade

The most significant cause of the Revolutionary War was the inability of Britain to be able to control the colonies. There were many examples of why the colonists were dismayed with Britain's way of control. For example, as Britain recognized that the colonies displayed defiance to their laws, Britain had trouble refraining from abusing power. In attempt to regain control of the colonists, Britain created stricter laws, such as the emergence of the colonists forced to pay taxes that they weren't lawfully held responsible to. This was exemplified when Britain expected the colonists to take control and pay Britain's debt by increasing taxes due to Britain's faulty actions after the erupting war at Bunker Hill as the British were forced to retaliate.
