Some research done, however data is outdated. More could be done in the background research. Problem statement already has the solution. The background info seems like reverse engineering from an idea.   • Some ideas are already present in the market and are non-novel (non-unique)
  • Appears that students already have an end product in mind before generating ideas
  • Ideas 1 and 2 are similar, and not unique; can expand more ideas (more than 3) before converging (rather conservative, can be wilder)
  • Evidence of divergent ideation is not present; students did not showcase what is the idea that they have in mind

suggestion for students:
  • Consider using HMW statements as starting ideas to generate more potential solutions
  • Consider using Wouldn't it be great if ... as another alternative starting statement so that students can identity the key features of their innovation
