I want it to be a respectful, empathetic and responsible environment. Where everyone including the children understand that your primary purpose is to learn while you are at school.

That it is a privilege and a blessing to work and attend school at Sandymount Elementary.

That it is their job to be considerate of the teachers, bus drivers, lunch workers, maintenance people, administrators and their other classmates.

Understanding, that everyone is going through things and has personal challenges in their lives and it should be our goal not to make anyone else’s life harder at school.

Basically, treat others how you want to be treated, try your best and communicate openly if you need help with something.

Have a willingness to be helpful to others.

We all have things we need to learn. And we all have skills and talents we can teach others. Be open to learning and teaching.
