Other than Othello being hard headed, I think Iago is mostly a fault mostly because he used manipulative tactics throughout his whole plan to cause everyone to basically cause chaos. But also Othello is at fault because he let his own insecurities get to him which caused his downfall.

I believe Othello had part of the tragic ending, for being gullible to Iago's lies and being blinded by jealousy and killing his beloved wife and losing his power, what drove him into killing himself. But Iago's playing this Machiavellian role was what caused this tragic ending entirely, I believe he deserved to live in his guilt and pain rather than to die and quick death.

I would say Othello bears more responsibility. His jealous and quickness to believing Iago, without having/asking for proof, which led to Iago's plan.

Othello let himself be carried away by jealousy and Yaigo manipulation, without seeking fundamental evidence himself. Besides, his lack of trust made things easier for Yaigo, and instead of talking to Desdemona, he believed what they said. And I think he should have just separated from her and not killed her.

Othello is most responsible for the tragic end because he chooses to believe in lies and allows jealousy. He kills Desdemona without real evidence. Desdemona is innocent - she never cheats on him. Although she does not fight back in the end, she does not blame.
