Average value for each drug was represented as a percentage mean response of guinea pig ileum, by measuring contractions caused due to each drug. Data suggests the highest contraction occurred in 0.4ml of carbachol in descending order followed by; 0.4ml carbachol 2, 1ml egg albumin, 0.4ml histamine, 1ml egg albumin followed by 0.4ml histamine, 0.2ml histamine, 0.2ml mepyramine followed by 0.4ml histamine and finally the lowest contraction value recorded was when 1ml BSA. StDev is calculated in relation to the mean, represented by how spread out the range of contractions were for each repeat of a drug, relative to its total mean value. StDev is obtained by calculating variance, then square rooting it. With the exception of 0.4ml carbachol, which did not have a StDev value, as it caused 100% response each time it was added to the ileum. The StDev values are in no specific order, as they are only related to the individual means of each drug, without having any relation to the mean values of the other drugs used. However it can be seen that, 1ml egg albumin had the highest StDev, where as 1ml BSA, gave the lowest StDev, meaning the repeats of this drug gave responses which were in close proximity to each other.
