Do you think traditional customs are being replaced by online practices?

I don’t think traditional customs are being replaced, but they are adapting to the digital world. Many people now share cultural celebrations online, which helps spread our traditions, but some experiences, like family gatherings or local rituals can’t be fully replaced by technology. But i think our daily habits have changed: for example we used to write things in notebooks and diary, but now we keep everything on our phones. After all, technology makes life easier, but it’s important to keep the human connection behind our customs.

Technology is seen as a powerful force that has transformed local arts, music, and entertainment. Digital platforms like YouTube and Spotify have allowed independent artists to share their work with the world. From a sociological perspective, this transformation also changed how communities experience culture. Face-to-face events became less common, while online culture grew stronger. Technology connects and inspires creativity, but it also challenges societies to preserve local identity in an increasingly globalized digital world.

Yes, because in Brazil, younger people generally engage with technology in more immersive, diverse, and innovation-oriented ways, such as gaming, content creation, and using AI tools. Older people, on the other hand, tend to use it more for connection, information, and simpler tasks. However, older adults today use the internet and mobile devices much more than in the past.

Technology has changed the way people connect and care for one another. In the Philippines, many families live apart because of work or distance, but technology helps keep their love alive. Through video calls and messages, they can still laugh together, share stories, and feel close even when they’re miles away. It has lessened loneliness and strengthened relationships, proving that connection is more than physical presence. Technology has truly become a bridge of love and understanding that brings people together, no matter the distance.

What are the impacts of technology on the Filipino language and national identity, considering the rise of digital slang and the use of Taglish?

Technology has changed the way we Filipinos

speak and express ourselves. Nowadays, we often mix Tagalog and English or use online slang like “LOL,” “OMG,” or “beshie” when we chat or post on social media. It makes our conversations more fun, creative, and connected to the modern world. But even with these changes, we Filipinos have not forgotten who we are or where we come from. Our words may sound different, but the heart behind them remains proudly Filipino. We still carry the humor, warmth, and respect that define us as a people, no matter how much our language continues to evolve.

Technology has become a big part of children’s lives today. Through videos, games, and online lessons, kids can learn new things and explore the world beyond their homes. It helps make education more fun and accessible for everyone. But at the same time, many children are spending less time playing outside, talking with friends, or bonding with family. This shows that while technology can help young minds grow, it must be used with balance. Real growth still comes from love, guidance, and real-life experiences that no screen can replace.

Technology is not just about comfort — it can also help protect the planet. In some rural areas, solar panels bring light to homes that once lived in darkness. Families can now study, work, and spend time together without harming the environment. Solar energy shows how technology can create progress while caring for nature. It teaches us that even small innovations can bring big changes. The light from that single bulb is more than just brightness — it’s a symbol of hope, reminding us that a cleaner and greener future is possible for everyone.

In a land blessed with sunlight, laughter, and endless dreams, every Filipino carries a story worth telling. Our islands shine with beauty — mountains that stand proud, seas that whisper peace, and hearts that never give up. Yet behind this beauty, quiet battles are fought each day. In crowded hospitals, many wait for healing that should come to all. Farmers, who feed the nation with care and sweat, still struggle to fill their own tables. Trees that once sheltered life fall to greed, leaving floods and sorrow behind. Machines replace the hands that once built our dreams, and women continue to fight for the respect they already deserve.

In the busy streets of the city, families build homes from hope, even when space and safety are hard to find. On screens and in posts, beauty is compared and judged, forgetting that every face carries its own light. And still, corruption hides in shadows, stealing what could have lifted lives.

But even in these hardships, the Filipino spirit remains — brave, gentle, and full of heart. We continue to rise, to care, and to believe that one day, fairness will reach every corner of our land. Because though our lives may be different, our dreams are the same. We live under one sun, one sky, and one hope — that our beloved Philippines will be a home where everyone stands equal and free.

Inequality in Brazil is deep and structural. While the top 1% holds nearly half of the country’s wealth, 50% of the population owns almost no assets at all. The income gap is also striking: the richest 10% take 42% of all income, while the poorest half must share only 20%.

This is not about effort or chance. It is the result of a system that has historically concentrated opportunities, power, and resources in the hands of a few. Inequality is not natural. It is designed. And what is designed can be changed.

Technology has helped create a fairer society.

It has allowed more people to access information, free courses, digital public services, and new forms of work. Today, many people are able to study, work, and start businesses online, even while living far from major urban centers.

It has also made it easier to include groups that were previously rarely heard, giving everyone space to express themselves and take part in discussions.

Although many say that technology has increased inequality, it’s important to remember that this inequality already existed long before technology. People without access to information, education, or opportunities were always at a disadvantage. Technology actually came to reduce these barriers.

It’s true that those without internet are at a disadvantage, but before technology, those without access to information were as well. The difference is that with digital resources, this number has decreased, since more people can study, work, and access services online, even far from major urban centers.

So instead of increasing inequality, technology has helped create more opportunities and reduce the informational exclusion that has always existed.
