Need a little help with an assignment?

Sign up for PAT (Peer Academic Tutoring) on either Monday or Wednesday mornings. Sign up by asking your counselor. Once you sign up you will be given a BLUE pass which allow you to get your lunch first and leave the cafeteria to report to D102 for PAT.

Wolfie is our Counseling Guinea Pig. His home is in D-105 but he spends a lot of his time on the weekends and during breaks at students' homes. Students love being in charge of taking care of him. He is very low maintenance, but loves when he gets carrots and lettuce. If you haven't met him yet, stop by D-105.

Students can earn “get caught being kind” tickets throughout the month of March. Students can place tickets in the “kindness box” which is located in the Main Office. Drawings for cool prizes will happen weekly!!

Career Cruising

In the next few weeks, 7th and 8th graders will continue to create and/or update their Educational Development Plan or EDP. Students create their EDP's through a fantastic website called: career cruising.com.
Students can log into Career Cruising by using their school username and school password. We encourage parents to explore this website with their child!

Attendance Matters at Wolfe Middle School. During the past 6 weeks, over 70 students worked with counselors on a personal plan to improve their attendance at school. Students set SMART goals, graphed their weekly attendance and reflected on their process during each meeting. Official data isn’t finished yet, but the preliminary results look outstanding! Not only does Attendance matter but goal setting for attendance WORKS!

Lieutenant Bailey will be at Wolfe on April 26th during 3rd hour. He works as a Paremedic/Firefighter in Bloomfield Township. We can't wait to hear all about this fascinating career!

Counselors work with students on ways to improve their daily attendance as well as their timeliness to class. Tomorrow kicks off our 4th cycle of Attendance Small Groups. Students set personal goals and we work with them to reach their goals!

This week all 8th grade students visited CLHS. Students met the CLHS student ambassadors and learned about all of the exciting opportunities the Academies of CLHS has to offer! We will miss our 8th graders and we wish them well as they become high schoolers!

As a way to celebrate the ending of school year and reflect on the happenings of the year, we hosted a picnic lunch at the CL track. Students played games, ate lunch and shared their thoughts on the year. So much fun a beautiful day!! We love our Warriors!

Today Dr. Ransom, a research scientist shared the highlights of his fascinating career with our Warriors. He asked our students...”what is science?” He then explained that science is only science if you can effectively communicate it with others. Aside from some cool experiments and great information, Dr. Ransom left our students with a thorough understanding of what it takes to be a “scientist”. Thanks Dr. Ransom!!

Celebrating students

Wolfe celebrated students who have displayed positive character traits throughout the school year. As Counselors we get to know students and in turn get to witness them show their positive qualities. Getting to honor students is just another perk to serving the Wolfe Warriors as school Counselors!

These two 7th graders have accomplished a very challenging goal...zero tardies! They were focused and met with counselors to set and monitor their goal. What was their recipe for making this challenge seem so easy? One student said “I made a routine and then followed it everyday.”
