There was a time when you were a fresh-faced English teacher educating a group of Year 7 students who hated reading. After two years of consistency, T was reading bigger chapter books than you've ever read!

Remember, when you empower students you'll want to teach them about a growth mindset so that they never feel like they can't. Instead empowering is providing the tools (both thinking and learning) and being available to guide, redirect, pick back up and praise.

Everyday won't be easy, but as long as their excited to learn, then you've got this!
