Flower Clouds 1903- Many colors, maybe because of various emotions. I like the different colors and how they’re duller rather than bright.

Maya Relief 600 AD- Rough, dull, bland, detailed. What I dislike is how it is hard to depict the whole image.

Paired Scenes 2013: Abstract, geometric, confusing, perspective. I dislike how it takes a while to interpret what the image is.

Phantasy II 1946: Abstract, messy, chaotic, colorful. I dislike the how disorganized the painting is.

The Ride 2003: Transparent, perspective, expressive, dull. What I like is the different images within the painting.

Landscape in the Style of the Old Masters 1668: Detailed, calm, landscape. I like the image because of how detailed and visually satisfying it is.

Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (Pablo Picasso): The figures in the painting are structured like shapes as well as the background. Something that stands out is how their bodies seem perfectly sketched, but their faces look as if they are wearing marks.

Emotions I feel when looking at the painting is sorrow and dreariness. The content contributes to this by showing the figures as lacking any expression.

Before Drawing: I was a little nervous because I prior to this I hadn't drawn anything since a middle school art class. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to create something somewhat decent.

After Drawing: Yes, finding the center helped as well as creating lines and shapes as opposed to replicating the drawing as a whole. My initial hesitation changed because the more drew, the more comfortable I became, especially not worrying about it being perfect.

As I drew, I think the subject matter of the image was how he viewed the world, more specifically in segments and fractions. The image captures halves of many subjects and even people, leaving them unfinished.

One of the Elements of Art incorporated in the painting is shape. The painting consists of many shapes to capture the different fragments. A term from Principles of Design that stands out is scale. Some objects and shapes are bigger than others, most likely done on purpose to give greater significance to certain objects.

I agree withe Duchamp and Rauschenberg to an extent. I believe the Bed to be art because there is some elements of arts incorporated such as color and it incorporates some use of designs. On the other hand I don't think the wheel on a stool is artwork because its simply just combining two objects and calling it art. Same goes for the cup with fur. Adding fur to an object without a new or thought out creativeness shouldn't be considered art.

I agree with the critic from the BBC film to an extent because as explained in the video as Picasso gets older he has trouble gripping the brush/utensil. This imagery captures the sense of confusion and disorder associated with the final moments of life.

Picasso's late work challenges and reinforces traditional notions of creativity by pushing the boundaries of artistic expression while also demonstrating his mastery of technique and innovation within the art world and the context of artistic tradition.

Picasso's late work is often characterized by its ambiguity and complexity. His works involved layers of meaning waiting to be uncovered. Insights from Picasso's late work that I believe is how his fans/admirer's wanted him to go back to his old work but as he aged he had a different perspective and vision that he translated to the canvas.
