Stanley's letter is comical because he describes everything through red colored glasses pretending that it is a real honest to goodness summer camp. He even tells his mother that he hopes to go water skiing after the swimming test.

Why did Madame Zeroni give Elya a piglet?

Madame Zeroni gave Elya a piglet and it was to help Elya win Myra's hand in marriage. Each day o carry the pig to the top of the mountain allowing it to drink from a special stream that ran uphill. As the piglet grew in size so would Elya's strength. On Myra's fifteenth birthday Stanley was to present the pig to Myra's father.

I think Stanley learned from his previous day of digging because, he dumped the dirt away from the hole, so he could save the area around the hole for when his hole was deeper. He also pushed on the back of the shaft with the base of his thumb, so he would avoid his hands getting more blisters on them, and he removed his cap and used it to help protect his hands until the sun came out, then he would put it back on when the sun came out.

Explain why the sign on the rec room said wreck room.

The sign said wreck room because almost everything in the room was broken; the TV, the pinball machine, and the furniture. Even the people looked broken, with their worn-out bodies lying over the ripped chairs and sofas.

Why did Camp Green Lake always manage to find campers despite the appalling conditions?

Most campers weren't given a choice. Camp Green Lake is a camp for bad boys.

If you take a bad boy and make him dig a hole every day in the hot sun, it will turn

stanleys letter home was funny because he said he cant wait to take the swim test so he can be in the water swimming but its the exact opposite of what hes needing to do he needs to provide a big hole every day for a long time.
