This movement was against the teachings of Catholic Churches. This protest was held in 1517 and led by Martin Luther. The Church was questioned heavily for all the things they have done making this event fit perfectly into conflict. This caused a war to happen between the Protestants and the Catholics with the Catholics being dominant in the Western part of Europe.
Sources:
Packet #2

John Locke was an English Philosopher born August 20, 1632. John Locke believed that the Government should have limited power. He believed that the people and the Government were a social contract. John Locke pretty much worked for the people because he was doing what he thought was best for them which was limiting Government power.
Sources:
#1

Cesare was a Philosopher like John Locke. Cesare lived from 1738 CE. through 1794 CE. Cesare thought that judges were to harsh on people with the ways they torture people. Back then people would be tortured in very harsh ways if the judge finds you guilty. The trials that the judge gives you weren't even fair either so chances are you would be tortured. Cesare made it so that the punishment would be not as harsh and it would fit the crime. Many people spread the word since they knew Cesare which would make Cesare fit perfectly in this enduring issue.
Sources:
Enlightenment Philosophers
