This creature is orange. It has four legs and a tail. It has light brown spots on it's back. It has eye lids. It did not run away when I got close to it. It is about the size of my index finger.

This corn stalk reminds me of Halloween and corn mazes. It also reminds me of the hay stalks used for fall decorations. There is a pile of dirt coming out of the cement crack. It has one hole with small red ants crawling in and out. The dirt is dry and brown. I notice some small pebbles around the dirt.

How the ants carried the pebbles out of the hole from under the cement. I wonder what is under the cement. I wonder if there are lots of tunnels under the cement and how many ants there are. I also wonder why are these ants small and red.

It reminds me of...
A park that I lived across while growing up and I would see lots of ant hills. They were much bigger and no cement. It also reminds me of sidewalks that have many cracks and ant hills between the cracks. The red ants that I remember where big and hurt when they bit me.

The pepper is green. It has a some spots that look darker, or maybe even black. It is wrinkly. It has a stem that is a lighter shade of green. It is the same length as the pepper itself.

There is a mound of finely ground bark beneath the tree. There is light dusting of the ground bark going up the tree falling on the branches.

I Wonder....
What is eating the tree? How long has this tree been infested? Will it die? Can I help the tree? How long has the tree been alive?

It reminds me of the book the Giving Tree. The boy keeps taking from the tree as it gives. Whatever is eating this tree is taking from it like the boy in the book.

I notice...
Threre is a patch of green algae concentrated in the creek. The rest of the creek I notice rocks and a small amount of water.
I Wonder....
What caused the algae to grow in the middle of the creek. Is is dangerous? I wonder if it will go away or will it grow even bigger.

How small the tadpole is. It is in a habitat where it doesn't have a whole lot of room to grow but for now it will be ok. There is plenty of vegetation and bugs to eat and it can eventually hop to a larger body of water that is near. It is brown and spotted. It is surrounded by rocks. 

I Wonder:
How long it will take to complete its metamorphosis? Why did it choose this rock to sit on? Where are the other tadpoles and where's its parents? Why did it choose this location? Does this tadpole have everything it needs to survive?

We used lemon grass to cook with a put the little bit of stems into water. It is growing like a week now. My daughter actually tasted it to see if it tasted like lemon grass. It has an amazing root ball The colors vary from a "healthy green" to a yellowish color but it is thriving. I notice...
this item is still warm, like it was when it was freshly picked a few minutes ago. I notice that it is a light yellow, that it feels mostly smooth with the exception of a bumpy and dry ridge, and some soft, bendable parts on one side. I notice that these soft bendable parts of the object are green with tiny white bits. I notice that the green part smells more grassy and fresh than the yellow part, which does not have a smell.   

I wonder...
if this tomato will taste like the red tomatoes you see at the grocery store. I wonder if it will taste sweet or if it will taste more tart and acidic. I wonder how the dry ridge formed on one side of the plant, and I wonder why the rest of the plant is smooth.

It reminds me...
that some living things seem well suited to this hot weather. It reminds me that patience is rewarding, as I started this plant more than 2 months ago. It reminds me that I'm able to grow some of my own food.

I notice that the two plants are both rose bushes. They both have green parts to them. One is flowering with pink flowers and one has a flower that has died. I notice that one has some dead brown stems while the other is very green and healthy.
I wonder why one of the plants is flowering and the other is not. I wonder why one plant has some dead branches while the other does not. I wonder if there is a problem with the soil  that is making one grow and one not. I wonder if it is because they are two different types of rose bushes.

I wonder if this is a metamorphic rock, what elements it is made of, and what caused one surface to be flat and another jagged.  I also wonder how it would look polished.
This stone reminds me of granite because of the different colors and an animal’s tooth because of its shape.

I noticed that it feels rough and spiky.  It is brown and feels very dry.  I noticed that it has an earthy smell.  I'm not sure if i'm smelling my fingertips or this seed.    I noticed that it has tons of nooks as if something once bloomed from each of those nooks.  Of course, I'm wondering what the correct name for this object is.  I'll probably look it up online.  I wonder what part of the plant life cycle this object would be a part of?
This reminds me of a gross little piece of dog feces (I would never pick up dog wast, lol). One has a smooth interior and the other has white quartz.
I notice that the smooth rock has different shade/color variations. It is evident that the shades become darker as you approach the outer edges of the geode.
On the other geode, I notice the quartz appears to become translucent the further it grows from the geode sides.
I wonder how the two differences are created and if you can tell the difference from the exterior before cutting them open.

I notice that on one side it is dark green with a network of light green veins. On the other side it's light silver-green, with light green veins. The dark green side is smooth and waxy, while the silver side is rough with bulges around the veins. I notice that the veins start large, and break into smaller and smaller networks of smaller capillaries. The veins remind me of an overhead view of a city, with big highways branching into small, local streets.
