What are you 3 most important ideas under the "Government Response to Economic Crises"?

3 most important ideas under the "Government Response to Economic Crises" is at number 1, is the President's response to the situation during the Great Depression and the Great Recession; What happened prior to the crisis, how did the President or government let this happen?; and why the Government did what they do to try to resolve the situation. For the 2nd and 3rd part, before the Great Depression, for the past 2 presidents before Hoover, they let the Markets roam wild, letting business soar as freely as possible, believing in having the least government involvement in people's lives, this caused the crash of the markets, having little to no regulation of the markets. Before the Great Recession, the government let a huge company grow so big that when it failed, it filed for bankruptcy, which was bailed out, and caused the Great Recession due to little to no regulation in the markets. For the 1st part, during the Great Depression president Hoover vetoed all the bills that would have actually helped the people, and said that to help the people is to threaten individualism and capitalism, Hoover and the prior presidents kept giving money to the big industries hoping they would make more jobs, but ended up making long shot investments which caused the GD to happen in the first place. During the Great Recession, President George W. Bush Jr. Bailed out multiple companies that were too big too fail, gave stimulus packages that actually declined by a lot over time, this did not stop the companies to keep investing. Bush also reduced federal funding and the cost of credit, this seemed to have helped the economy get back on track.

one of the examples I can think of is the way facebook keeps allowing hateful/harmful/inaccurate data to be published and advertised on their site because they know they won't be held accountable with the law. This is showing that companies behave a in unacceptable ways because they know there are no legal downsides to doing so. *i think*

This bailout of large companies---that play a huge role in the economy, and resource to the nation---prevents the nation from losing an asset and prevents the economy from falling
2.
Sorta similar to the one above; The social media platform Tiktok is still a very diverse and usually ok platform but the people running it many times allow hate speech or flat out harmful things to be left out on the app. Although they can't moderate all bad/negative behavior; they dont try as much which leads people who use the platform to believe that harmful and hateful speech is allowed without a form of consequences.

The government wants the economy to do well and the best way for that to occur is when businesses crucial to the economy are doing well. If an important business is about to fall due to risky investments or poor decisions, the government usually bails them out. Because of these bailouts, companies sometimes take more risks for larger returns and if successful, both the economy and business improves.

The global economy can be thought as a world wide structure of production. Everyone plays an integral role in this global economic system. Raw materials are used and raw ideas are put into place, designing new products that could only be possible when these raw materials and ideas are combined. These products that we produce are used to trade with each other.

This is a global economy that is interconnected. A sophisticated and complex system that uses every connected node to its advantage. For example, when farmers produce the food that we consume, it gives energy to miners who pull out graphite from the ground which are later on sold to pencil production companies and sold to schools, which will help teachers teach students who in turn will grow up to be engineers, making better machines to mine or machines to make lunch.

This example shows how production is structured in our global economy. Everyone depends on each other to produce something that they can use to produce other stuff. It is a cycle that loops back in on itself. Layers of labor can be seen being laid upon other layers of labor. TNCs start to create themselves. The example was only one random example from a million other network of nodes.

My final important idea regarding how this global economy is interconnected is that our interconnections are dynamic. Industries are capable of falling and wars can cause economic collapses on certain nations. And yet, we adapt to these changes. We live in a global structure of production where we build better lives for ourselves and by making that our goal as humanity, we improve each others life as well.

Let's begin at the largest of these three, the economy. A poor economic experience results in poor business and heavy government involvement, that could also be used interchangeably. Business directly impact the economy, while the government indirectly impacts the economy through business. The economy, having been shaped by these two, reflect the work and health of their relationship (growth reflects free businesses thriving, stalemate and a backwards trend reflects government involvement,).

Since these are international corporations, that also means they control a significant amount of the world economy. The economy is also globally interconnected because a financial crisis in one country can affect the entire world. A good example of this is the crisis in 2008, where a crash in the real estate market in the unites states affected many other countries. Many companies also have such deep ties with the economy and are so interconnected that the failure of these companies can have a significant effect on the entire economy.

Insensitive is seen when companies go out of their way to fix the problems and injustices within their knowledge that if they don’t, they will be at risk of losing their companies. For example a job might give an employee a raise or reward for doing s good job. Costumers might get discount at this company too. Disincentives example are getting fines. Also I think disincentives is like moral Hazard.

A large company may hold a huge influence on the economy (such as banks, estate, etc), and if they were to fail that impact would trickle throughout the entire economy. It is similar to what we learned in US History last year and how the impact of one company or group will trickle and impact another group. Furthermore, one company may rely on the product of another company and if that other company were to fail then the previous company would lost a resource and production possibilities would go down. We all rely on each other.

The connection between government, finance/business and the economy is that all are affected by each other. The government makes laws that impact finance/business that could affect how well they are doing which in terms will impact the economy for they rely on business doing good. The same goes for business and the government also relying on the economy doing good and not failing. So the government could make laws and not follow them due to the business having a too much impact on the economy, but they also have a risk of damaging the economy if the business does fail.

For example, if the business do well then the economy grows and prospers thus bring in money for the government and strengthening it. They grow capital quite rapidly, and produce newer technology as well as efficient methods.
2. Some countries have a free capital market but no resources, and other countries have no free market but plenty of resources. Our only answer? Exploitation or negotiations between the two. Example given? China and Britain, the United States and Kenya.
3. The ones who rule the world are not governments or nations, rather it is the companies that control and hold the most wealth from the world. These holders are from different nations, thus forcing another form of interconnectedness.

An example of this would be how the government has the ability to bail out companies if they start failing. This eliminates the risk of failure for companies so now they have the ability and are even encouraged to take greater risks since they know they'll be protected by the government is things go south

We know a vague example of moral hazard is the government being involved with industries or companies to bail them out, however examples like the 2008 recession and Mississippi Bubble offer poor support to this concept because the impact of the consequences were dire. Instead, we want to analyze examples such as the oil industry and the government, as you begin to see the process of how a government becomes involved and how it effectively minimizes the effects of a consequence.

Important Ideas:
1. How did the GD and GR connect the world?
After WW1, countries who have been involved were immediately affected by the GR, the US on the other hand were thriving on the new car industry selling to other countries. When the stock market crashed. Whatever progress was being improved upon, was erased by the ripple affect of the crash on the economy across the globe.
In the GR, a huge company was connected between the US and EU, when that company failed, the market crashed in both the US and EU. This caused a ripple affect that affected more countries around the world.
2. How we could have prevented the situation. and 3. What caused the GD and GR?
The government during the GD did not regulate the economy at all, this caused the market crash. The gov could have regulated the economy more. In the GR, the government again, failed to regulate the economy, let the companies get too big to fail and when the company failed, it caused the world to plunder a deep recession.

Incentives must have reassurance, promise, and evidence of outcome. The first comes the promise, such as, the the Mississippi Bubble, 'invest in Mississippi, you'll be set for life!'. Second comes evidence, (which is important because it's the first step of trust) such as Columbus' successors gaining more investors because they had previous money gainers. Third is reassurance, most obvious is the government willing to bail out companies in case things go bad.

Disincentives have a lack of those three. Promises can be big as you make them, honestly, the bigger the problem, the most risky investors will be attracted. A small promise brings the safe investors, which are little. No evidence indicates a high risk or false information. And no reassurance from failure? Automatically a pass for investors.

This contribution was made to allow a better understanding for my peers of these terms (aka my examples would repeat what others previously said)

There is also global businesses that hold budgetary control over the world. The global economy is interconnected in the manner that all frameworks are associated either by exchanging or by proprietorship. Everybody relies on each other.

Incentives would be getting a reward from what you do or did. For instance you get a Nobel prize from a scientific discovery that would help that certain subject you discovered that discovery. As for Disincentives it would be a rule since you follow them in order to not suffer from the consequences. 2 examples would be not killing someone you hate because you would live with the guilt as well as serve a lot of time in jail. Another thing would be how you are not to do things when you're small like drink alcohol you would suffer a lot from the dangers as well as possibly get incarcerated.

An example of Moral Hazard is that when a dog pees on your couch. When the dog pees on the couch and you just yell at the dog, the dog will not think of yelling as something to prevent the dog from peeing on the couch, it is like a slap on the wrist. The dog will continue to pee on the couch unless you punish the dog by not giving them a treat for doing what they did.

Some examples could be, spending less money allows you to be financially stable thus making you happier and wanting t continue to save.

1. Businesses that have the impetus to face more noteworthy challenges since they don't have the disincentive of failure for doing as such since they government will rescue them in any case because they all rely on each other.
2. An individual has the motivator to post anything they desire via web-based media regardless of whether it's terrible since the online media organization isn't controlling what is posted so an individual's disincentive of posting anything and getting restricted or hidden at the start. Anything can be out there, there hasn't beenmuch of how to prevent these things other than a report button and then the web-based media needs to decide if it is truly bad. Even if they do restrict it in the end it was on the internet and will always be on there. You can find it somewhere else.
3. Somebody who has a perilous and unsafe job has the motivation to work more on the off chance that they're given a raise and they're given medical care, however on the off chance that their manager were to cut their wages and not be given any medical care then they would have the disincentive to work because they lose all the perks that they had by working their. The person will try to find another job that has similar perks to what he had previously, even beter than previous, or even just better perks than what he had when his manager took everything away.

4 pertinent examples of incentives and disincentives are:
1. The dog from the owner being punished for peeing on the couch is stopped from the moral hazard displayed and the owner showed incentive that the dog should pee elsewhere.
2. The Disincentive is that when the Owner punishes the dog for peeing anywhere, the owner disincentives the dog for peeing at all.
3. When a bank is bailed out from the risk they took, the government gave incentive for them to stop the incident from happening, but the bank may continue to trade again high risks.
4. When the bank is bailed out and punished severely, the bank is discentivesed for trading at all.
