For example if someone decide to lose his or her weight to live healthier lifestyle. It mean reason behind this is to improve their health and it is a motivation. 

2.Ans.....**There are some difference between Maslow and Herzberg's theory of motivation given below.... 
(a)Maslow theory of motivation descriptive but Herzberg's theory of motivation is prescriptive. 
(b) Maslow theory is about human needs. On flip side Herzberg's theory concepts about reward and recognition. 
**If we look forward at similarities and we came to know that both theory's of motivation fail to explain individual difference  like assume needs as driving force that push people to do something to fulfill that needs and deal with the same problem.
