1. Syllable clap, tap and stomp: children will be able to sound out each letter by doing on of these movements.

2. Count words with objects: children will be able to count with objects in hand.

At home activities:

1. I Spy: children are able to play a game of I Spy with siblings or parents to try and figure out the word.

1. Playdough Phonics mats: give children Phonics mat and playdough and ask them to complete each mat, well forming the playdough into the letters/words.

2. Rainbow hop: lay out different color of letters across the floor and starting on one end with a dice, throw the dice and depending on the number it lands it, the child will hop to the number as they shout out each letter.

At home activities:

1. ABC mouse: is a website for children to help them learn letters and how to read.

1. Word of the week: Create different lessons to do with different words each week.

2. Match up words and definitions: download vocabulary sheets and have children match up the words to their definition.

At home activities:

1. play Pictionary: Pictionary is a game where you have to make words out of letters.

1.Student-adult reading: Students will read one on one with an adult present.

2. Singing songs: creating jokes, riddles or singing along songs students can use this as a tool for fluency.

At home activities:

1. Put on a play: students can host a play for parents of what they learned before or what they may be practicing at home.

1. Before, during and after questions: ask students questions before the story, during the story, and after the story and see what they have remembered.

2. Make a timeline: give students an idea and have them make a timeline of activities leading up to the final event.

At home activities:

1.Puppet show retelling: students can grab puppets and retell a familiar story.
