I've made a research : why does they call Sami nation the only indigenous peoples of European Union in this course (Emojis Finland! Did you know that?).

though, there is one more indigenous peoples in Europe - the Inuit in Greenland, but Greenland is not in European Union

Since the word "indigenous" has several meanings it seemed to me like Sami were in Europe always, and other nationalities came here from somewhere else, and it looked like a mistake.
