Norah Lipovac1:46 PMI think the data makes sense and I agree that screen time should be measure but quality over quantity because what we are spending are time on our phones doing to to me more important than the actual time spent on devices. the difference in phone usage between teens and adults is shocking to me as it seems like adults are the ones calling teens out for how much time they spend on their phones when in reality their phone habits are similar to ours in many ways.

Cade Morse1:45 PMOverall, this This digital citizenship was over electronic usage comparing kids and adults. I agree that screen time has pros and cons, but I think we should definitely spend less time on our phones and other devices. I feel that screen time is good but not all the time. I can relate to the presentation because I feel that I could spend less time on social media. - Cade Morse

I agree that students can become addicted to their phones. I would say you are addicted if you have to check it every 2 minutes or if you cannot be physically without it. Screen time can also interfere with a healthy lifestyle. It is not healthy to believe everything you see. Electronics are something we use everyday but it's important that it doesn't take our day away. Parents always seem to be on our backs about having so much screen time when in reality, their's aren't that different. - Brylee

Yes, screen time can be bad because your eyes will start to hurt and you won't be able to pay attention and you will get addicted to it. I agree that teens can become easily addicted to their phones. Too much “screen time” can interfere with a healthy lifestyle. Using your phone before bedtime can affect your sleep habits. Too much “screen time” can affect family relationships and friendships. I think the number is increasing with adults because adults aren't really on their phones 24/7 except for getting a hold of someone or a job. But the reason why it is decreasing for teens is that they are required not to be on it during school and some have an early bedtime and or get it taken. - Rosa

my key takeaways are that phones help people but too much time in front of a screen can be detrimental. I can relate because sometimes if im on my phone too much I start getting headaches and notice that my sleep isn't as good when Im on my phone right before bed. Some questions I have are is there really a bad thing that we should stay away from or could cause us to use them less?

yes i agree and i think a few hours a good is good for a person because you should still be involved in the world and talk to others, i get on mhy phone in the morning after i get ready usually, and at school and at night but ,mostly before bed is when i use it the most. and screen time is important to keep track of how much you are on a screen it can have very many effects to you if you spend a ton of hours on a screen -rylie
