There must be certain regulations for the public services regarding uniform, but they must also meet the requirements for any religions and/ or beliefs that people may have. an example of this is allowing people who wear turbans to be able to wear them with respect. this can mean that they do not wear a helmet when out (they may need to wear a helmet in the fire service or for the police if they are in riot or another high risk of injury situation) unless it can fit over their turban and as long as the wearer agrees. if they do not agree then you can not force them and they must still be able to do the same things as anyone else.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1755359/female-cops-could-be-allowed-to-wear-full-islamic-headdress-in-a-bid-to-boost-diversity/

This could be getting someone who is deaf someone who also uses sign language to explain to them what is going on. This also applies to foreign language speakers- there must be someone available to talk to them to create a bridge between the public services and those who communicate differently to the majority of people.

These sheets are commonly found inside of public buildings and public toilets, they can include a variety of information ranging anywhere from tourist information to specialist details about domestic abuse charities in your area. they aim to provide people who speak little or no English information to make their life in the UK somewhat easier. There may be an English translation next to the foreign language sheet to engage as many audiences as possible. For example, if an area is know to have a high population of Polish Immigrants who may not speak much or any English, there will be more English- Polish translated sheets to allow the Polish speakers to understand more information whilst living in the UK.

The main number to get in contact with the public services when there is an emergency incident is 999. this can be called on any telephone. the main number that you need to call when there is not an emergency is 101, this can give you the information you need or put you in touch with the service, organisation or agency that will be able to provide you with the correct specialist information that you require. There is also a texting service for people are not able to talk on the phone, this can be for people who are unable to speak, unable to listen, or people in a high risk situation where communicating loudly can put them in serious danger. You must register your phone number to be able to access this service, as I have done with my own phone as shown in the screenshot below (you never know when this may come in handy- it may even save your life one day!).

Having a wide and suitable range of food available to all of the public service workers and employees means that all staff are able to eat as healthily that should be expected. this means that they will be more focused and are able to concentrate for longer periods of time as they are not hungry. This shows that having food available for everyone to eat is a successful measure as everyone in the public services will be more efficient, getting jobs done faster and to a higher standard, this could increase the amount of arrests made by an officer in the Police, more fires and rescues dealt with in the Fire Service, and more patients treated and potentially had their life saved by the Ambulance Service.

Having a Uniform that is suitable for all religions and beliefs is a successful measure as it means nobody is discriminated against (which would go against the Equality act 2010). this means that regardless of any clothes that they must wear they are still able to join the public service of their choice. this will also mean that a wider range of diversity is shown withing the public services, which helps ordinary members of the public understand they they are just normal people trying to do their job, which could also lead on to less abuse towards the public service employees as m ore people are able to find a common ground which can lead to a lower rate of crime as a bond is built between the members of the public, and the public service workers.
