Bala is a work hard person because he will do everything to be a success person. He went to the city and become a bus driver to find the money to his family. After he going to be an old man, he was planting at his garden because he thinks no one wants to take care the garden. Ramesh have the same characteristics like Bala because Ramesh don't want to hear Bala to go to find the Mak Jah's nasi lemak but after Rubani persuaded,he went to find the Mak Jah's nasi lemak. Bala don't want to hear his father to leave his wife and he went to the city because he forced to get out from home to married his wife.

We need to work hard to achieve what we wants. Based on the short story of Nasi Lemak, Bala went out from home after his family does not agreed with his decision to marry Saraswathi.. 

Bala is a hardworking man. He do multiple jobs to survive his family starting from become a farmer to the bus driver in Kuala Lumpur. He work hardly to feed his beloved wife and his small family.. Bala  continued his routine as gardening although he is old and had faced stroke past two years ago..Besides,  Bala also a punctual worker.. When  he work as a bus driver, he come one hour earlier before his working hours and he will help whatever he can.. He is a dilligent worker and honest man that makes him loved by many.. One of person that have similiar characteristic as Bala in my life is my father.. My father is a hard working person.. He do a lot of work to support our big family..He struggles to overcome all the challenges just to make sure we have what we want.. 
 
In conclusion,  we need to have good personality so that people will comfort to be with us.. In my opinion,good personalities that shown by Bala give us example to be followed in this though life.. Hard working is the key of everything.. Being hardworking will changes everything to be meeracle.

 I think this story showed Bala as a hardworking person. Even though his right arm paralyzed because of stroke almost 2 years ago but that thing does not stop him from gardening and built a new life with his wife as a farmer on his wife’s family land. Not only that, before he retired, he works as a bus driver in in Kuala Lumpur to pick up a hundred of busy people in the city and be loved by many. The person that I know who has similar characteristic as Bala was my mother. She was a single mother that could do many works to support her family. From this, I realized that my mother was a hardworking person. Even though she was getting older but that thing does not stop him from earn money for her family.

Last but not least, we need to make Bala as a role model to be a hardworking person in a life to get what we want because  dream does not become reality through magic.

Based on this short story, I would describe Bala as a very determined, hardworking and a good person.

Firstly, Bala worked very hard to support his beloved family by working as a bus driver in the city of Kuala Lumpur and becoming a farmer at the same time. When he retired, he decided to take care of his garden. Despite having a paralyzed right arm, that does not stop Bala from gardening just to kill his leisure time. This evidence shows that Bala is a very hardworking and determined person. Secondly, Bala loves to help people around him. He always went off to work an hour earlier just to help his friends. This characteristic of him makes it easier for people to be friends with him. Bala really reminds me of my father, the man of my life and whom I love the most. Since he was young, my father never stopped working day and night for the sake of our family as he wants to provide a good life for us. Because of his hard work and efforts, my family and I can live a better life than before. 

It is true that with a lot of hard work and determinations, we can change our lives to be better than before. No man can achieve what he wants in life by doing nothing. To live a good life is tough and one must work very hard but I believe with every hardship, there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel.

This personality of his is very apparent throughout the story and we can clearly see the impact is has on his life. 

   In the story, when he set his mind to marry Saraswathi, he was not deterred by his unsupportive family and carried on marrying her even though he would be disowned and lose his wealth. Then he focused on his next goal which was  to provide for his family's wellbeing and tried many ways to gain money like working as a farmer which did not go well but he kept trying until he has a stable income as a bus driver in Kuala Lumpur. Even in his old age, Bala was still stubbornly working on his garden because he has a goal to take care of it. We can also observe how determined he was to find Mak Jah's nasi lemak stall with his son on his birthday even though he had no sense of where it could be due to the drastic changes in the city. Interestingly enough, Mak Jah also share the same personality as Bala which is proved by how she puts in extra effort to remember her customer's favourite orders and kept yelling out promotions even though it must be exhausting for her old self after years of work,

In conclusion, we should take example of Bala's personality and keep ourselves goal oriented so we won't drift around aimlessly in life. Having this personality also keep ourselves from being and tired of our routine because we have a goal to complete.
