         <title>Common Lit</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>CommonLit includes 2,000 reading passages for grades 3-12, "complemented by aligned interim assessments, growth-oriented data, and expert-led teacher development" (CommonLit, 2014-2022). English Language Arts teachers can create assignments, and link classes directly from Google Classroom. The reading passages in CommonLit are various lexile levels and contain additional virtual tools to support student's diverse needs in a virtual learning environment. For instance, students can use up to six highlighting colors to highlight text within passages, within annotation tools. In addition, there are guiding questions, assessment question and discussion questions (CommonLit, 2014-2022). Also, students are able to increase font size, translate in about 40 languages and access the read aloud feature (CommonLit, 2014-2022).</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Loom is a free resource that allows anyone to record presentations (Loom, 2022). This helps personalize instruction for students in a remote learning environment. For instance, during current physical learning environments, several students have been absent due quarantine regulations. However, with Loom, teachers can record lessons further explaining to students how to complete assignments. This way students who need guided practice can access that extra layer of support and students who were present in the physical classroom can also access the lesson, which can be referred back to in order to hear clear instructions or have access to the teacher reteaching the lesson, with a click of a button.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Classcraft is more than just a virtual classroom management tool. Through this virtual tool, teachers can apply tiered intervention to meet special student needs (Classcraft, 2022). Students are motivated through gaming to complete meet class content learning goals and PBIS behavior expectations (Classcraft, 2022). For instance, for a student diagnosed with ADHD, a teacher can write specific school behavior goals that can earn the student game play time and avatar upgrades (Classcraft, 2022). Then, the student can participate in competitions with peers or collaborate with peers in reaching the game play goal.</div>]]></description>

This tool can be used in any subject-matter. One way Language Arts teachers can implement Pear Deck to create personalized learning for diverse learners is by allowing students to use virtual tools; such as annotating. Once teachers add these tools, students can directly interact with the text and circle, highlight, add text and use a virtual pencil to mark up the text. As a result, diverse student learners will deepen their knowledge and increase literacy mastery.</div>]]></description>
