A few moments later Violet saw Mr. Martin on the Jim Crow Car. They stood in silence just looking at him. Then they realized that the guys looking for him were on the same train. He said, " I need to go!" He ran off the train and he said if they ask any questions just tell them he left the train and went that way (forward). The men asked about him but they were not going to tell them where he was because they love Mr. Martin. The girls were known to lie to men and act like they were stupid. So that's just what Violet did she told him a fake story. At first, he believed her but as the story went on he knew she was lying. He soon gave up and walked away. But they did tell her to go to a meeting place. So Violet did. She went there and there were so many different food options that it was like a dream come true.
