         <description><![CDATA[<div><br><strong>What is it?</strong> <em>Anemia is condition in which the oxygen carrying capacity of red blood cells is inadequate and "iron deficiency" is a cause of the type of anemia that results from a shortage of oxygen carrying hemoglobin. </em><br><strong>Symptoms</strong>: <em>tiredness, shortness of breath, slow cognitive and social development during childhood... more susceptible to infections.</em><br><strong>Prevention</strong>:<em> Follow the iron intake recommendations. Note that athletes should consume more iron on a daily basis. Be advised that TOO much iron can lead to illness (diarrhea, iron poisoning, etc.).</em>&nbsp; <br><strong>Iron Rich Foods:</strong> <em>Light Tuna, Oysters, Grape-nut cereal, sweet potatoes, raisins, almonds, quinoa, etc.&nbsp;</em></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Kwashiorkor is caused by a lack of protein in the diet. Commonly seen in low and lower middle income regions, especially in areas where facing famine is at risk. To avoid this, you need to eat a well balanced diet that includes carbohydrates and proteins. Symptoms include: change in skin, and hair color which looks like a rusty color, fatigue, diarrhea, loss of muscle mass, failure to grow or gain weight, edema of the ankles and feet and stomach, damaged immune system which increases the chance of infections, irritability, flaky rash, and shock.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

The mixture can also include vegetable oil such as sesame, casein and sugar. Casein is milk protein. The oil increases the energy content. This is not very present in the United States due to the fact that we have a higher intake of salt. Symptoms include the swelling of the larynx, troubled breathing, and coughing.
