This lake is one of the most mysterious places in Nizhegorodskiy region.  The first miracle is connected with the origin of this lake.  One the ancient legends says that long time ago there was a Monastery (called Rusaki). Then it came under the water and this lake appeared on its place.

Those times lake Svyato was considered to be sacred and people could swim in it only on great church fetes.
