Below we repost an excerpt from a short interview with an Austrian student:

Q: Hi! How was your experience working with Italian students during this Erasmus project?

A: It was really interesting. At first I was a bit shy, but then I realized we have a lot in common, especially in how we interact and collaborate.

Q: Did you notice any differences between the Austrian and Italian school systems?

A: Yes, some differences. In Austria we might focus more on practical aspects in some subjects, but I was impressed by how prepared and engaged Italian students are.

Q: What was your favorite moment during these days together?

A: I would say visiting historical places, like the Orange Hotel prison. Talking about history and human rights together was very meaningful.

Q: Was it difficult to communicate in English?

A: At the beginning a bit, but it quickly became natural. I think we also learned a lot from that.

Q: What will you take home from this experience?

A: Definitely new friendships and a more open mindset towards other cultures. It’s something you can’t learn only from books.
