         <description><![CDATA[<div>Pablo Picasso was born in 1881. When he was 19 he went to live in Paris.<br>Between 1901 and 1904 he used a lot of blue and green in his paintings, this is Picasso's Blue Period; between 1904 and 1906, orange and pink were the Picasso's Rose Period.<br>In 1904 Picasso met George Braque, a french arist. Togheter they created the Cubist style of painting. One of the first artists to experiment with this new style was Iuan Gris.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Cubism was a new style of art. Cubist artists used geometric shapes to rapresent people and objects in their paintings.<br>The paintings weren't realistic.<br>They had a lot of separate parts and they looked like mosaic.<br>Picasso, Braque and Gris didn't copy real images. They painted the images they saw in their minds. They focussed on the characteristic parts of an image and they often included different perspectivesof the some image in the some picture.<br>The Cubists painted pictures, but they also made collages.<br><br></div>]]></description>
